Uberの自動運転の事故直前のビデオ見たけど、あれは人が運転しててもよけるのはほぼ無理だったんじゃないかと思う。よほど走行音が静かな車だったのだろうか。歩行者は道を横断する前に近づきつつあるライトに気も付かなかったのだろうか。
2018-03-23 18:44:38と、映像を見た人からは突然暗闇の中での事故で、回避は不可能だったのではという感想が多く見られた。
しかし現地では実際の事故現場を走ってその暗さを確認する人が多数出現。

@drybones_5 It's not actually that dark of road (youtube.com/watch?v=CRW0q8… ) , the Uber video was much darker than it is in real life. Seems like a driver paying attention (not a guaranteed, granted) would have hit the brakes at least, if not stopped or swerved in time pic.twitter.com/KIgROarxQx

FFS - this argument is moot, since self-driving cars use LIDAR, not human eyesight. But the roadway isn't nearly as dark as the police video shows. I think Uber and police did something shady with the video. arstechnica.com/cars/2018/03/p…

@ubermanyoutube I'm now beginning to believe that Uber has doctored the video of the accident and made it a lot darker. I live here and was wondering where the hell it's so dark on Mill Avenue, and went by there it's not. I know that area is not that dark.

アメリカでの大企業がらみの死亡事故ですから法廷に行けば何が起きるかちょっと分からないように思えます。
