My heart goes out to Mako's family, but also to Bernard. I went on to various things between reunions, but once Bernard began his twenty-something year collaboration with Mako, they became musically inseparable. For Bernard's solo stuff, his production, it was always Mako.

It wasn’t called “The Sound Of ... “ for nothing. Mako was the “&” in M&B. I saw David and said “...can I have the drummer too please?”. He was the loudest thing I’d ever heard. And I had a song that needed to start with the loudest thing you’d ever hear. #mako
