Insight: First 3 months on Mars (Bernerdt): 3 months = 100 sols. Insight landed on Mars on 26 Nov 2018. Deployment phase through sol 87, "We have a very smooth, flat workspace". #LPSC2019

SEIS (seismometer) of @NASAInSight deployed on sol 22, tether adjustment (final step of SEIS preparation) on sol 62. Noise performance is very good, below Earth(s low noise level, nearly same as Apollo PSE. #LPSC2019

During this period, they could have NO CLEAR SIGNAL identified as marsquake. This excludes Earth-like activity levels. Pre-landing estimates are still within the allowed range of activity rates. Stay tuned. #LPSC2019

Geology of the InSight Landing Site (Golombek): InSight landed at Western Elysium, 600km north of MSL. The landing site is estimated as 3-10m fragmented regolith over ~200m basalt flows. #LPSC2019

Landing site is heavily cratered region, smooth flat, pebble rich surface. There are many sediment filled craters around landing site. #LPSC2019

Result from the short-period seismometers (SP)(Pike): few picometer (!) resolution. He presented "sound" of the vibration initiated by the wind (transformed to audible frequency). #LPSC2019

The Heat Flow and Physical Properties instrument (HP3): HP3 is on the surface since 2/12, first hammering on 2/28, second on 3/4. Mole was stacked and operation is paused. #LPSC2019

Currently, minimum temperture observed in InSight station was -96 C and highest was -16 C. But, is it F ? I failed to check a slide. #LPSC2019

Large-Scaled Numerical Simulation using InSight Data: thermal evolution code application to Mars. All observed crustal thickness data has been included. According to Q current estimates, core with radius > 1800km and entirely liquid at present is a plausible result. #LPSC2019

According to the simulation, the seismicity estimation of Mars is between one of Earth & Moon. Effecdt of crustal thickness dichotomy may be present up to 500 - 600 km in depth. InSight result. particularly heat flow, will confirm whether this simulation is correct. #LPSC2019
