Standing by for coming @NASAInSight session at #LPSC2019 .

Insight: First 3 months on Mars (Bernerdt): 3 months = 100 sols. Insight landed on Mars on 26 Nov 2018. Deployment phase through sol 87, "We have a very smooth, flat workspace". #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 04:38:24
SEIS (seismometer) of @NASAInSight deployed on sol 22, tether adjustment (final step of SEIS preparation) on sol 62. Noise performance is very good, below Earth(s low noise level, nearly same as Apollo PSE. #LPSC2019

During this period, they could have NO CLEAR SIGNAL identified as marsquake. This excludes Earth-like activity levels. Pre-landing estimates are still within the allowed range of activity rates. Stay tuned. #LPSC2019

Atmospheric observaton by @NASAInSight is almost starting. Temperature drop by Phobos eclipse detected. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 04:45:54
Magnetic data: estimated crustal field = 2013 +- 13 nT. 1473 images captured until 17 March 2019. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 04:47:28
Geology of the InSight Landing Site (Golombek): InSight landed at Western Elysium, 600km north of MSL. The landing site is estimated as 3-10m fragmented regolith over ~200m basalt flows. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 04:50:51
Landing site is heavily cratered region, smooth flat, pebble rich surface. There are many sediment filled craters around landing site. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 04:55:57
low albed inplies dust has been removed (by wind?). One rolling stone identified. Subsurface may be layered, and anticipates seismic wave will be reflected. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 05:03:16
SEIS initial result (Lognonnét) SEIS is now waiting for marsquake to acquire. First marsquake detection anticipated. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 05:15:53
Lognonneさんとは、かつてLUNAR-Aのときにもお付き合いしたことがある。懐かしい限りだ。 #LPSC2019

Result from the short-period seismometers (SP)(Pike): few picometer (!) resolution. He presented "sound" of the vibration initiated by the wind (transformed to audible frequency). #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 05:23:35
Also, sound of HP3 relreased It's like a regular hammering. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 05:31:03
The Heat Flow and Physical Properties instrument (HP3): HP3 is on the surface since 2/12, first hammering on 2/28, second on 3/4. Mole was stacked and operation is paused. #LPSC2019

#インサイト は、火星到着100日目現在でまだ地震はみつかっていない。これはまだ十分想定内だし、十分待つことが必要だと思う。#LPSC2019
2019-03-19 05:45:32
InSight Atmospheric Result APSS (Banfield): Pressure Sensor & Temperature and Wind sensor (TWINS). Data will be released via PDS in 6 months. CO2 cap mass & global dust obs started and other obs now starting and standing by. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 05:50:42
Currently, minimum temperture observed in InSight station was -96 C and highest was -16 C. But, is it F ? I failed to check a slide. #LPSC2019

Large-Scaled Numerical Simulation using InSight Data: thermal evolution code application to Mars. All observed crustal thickness data has been included. According to Q current estimates, core with radius > 1800km and entirely liquid at present is a plausible result. #LPSC2019
2019-03-19 06:38:27
According to the simulation, the seismicity estimation of Mars is between one of Earth & Moon. Effecdt of crustal thickness dichotomy may be present up to 500 - 600 km in depth. InSight result. particularly heat flow, will confirm whether this simulation is correct. #LPSC2019
