ボーイングとしては「737(MAX)というブランド」が死ぬことは絶対に避けたいところですが、こうやって日を追うごとに問題がまだまだ明らかになっていく現状は、「まだ隠していることがあるんじゃないか」「嘘を吐いているんじゃないか」という消費者の不信感の払拭には程遠い状態です。

不安を持たせないように汚点難点をうやむやにすることは、こういう時悪手です。現にこうやって「大きすぎるエンジンがそもそも悪かったのだ」という言説が広まってしまっているのですから。ボーイングは開示の欠如により、自分の傷を大きくしてしまったかもしれません。

今まで訓練されていた52年前基準の737型緊急時手順だけでは、最新のMAXの緊急時には手順としてもはや不適当なのかもしれません。
