@suteko15 @PSV During WW2, Japanese soldiers made many Asian women as sex-slave and raped them under that flag. Among sex-slave were many Dutch women who lived in Indonesia.
2019-08-28 08:39:45@yukichidrive @suteko15 @PSV I know about that. In addition many Koreans acknowledge and regret it. we have built monuments to apologize in Vietnam and provided economic support and is still doing it. Japan still denies past mistakes. History is not erased. That is the difference between Korea and Japan.
2019-08-28 19:17:11@u_u_0_u_u @suteko15 @PSV The Government of South Korea has never recognised the sexual violence that took place and has never apologised for the crimes of its soldiers. laidaihanjustice.org/who-are-the-la…
2019-08-28 19:31:31@u_u_0_u_u @suteko15 @PSV On December 28, 2015, Japan and South Korea signed a landmark agreement over the former’s wartime sexual exploitation of Korean “comfort women.” Japan formally apologized and contributed 1 billion yen to compensate the living survivors or the families of the deceased.
2019-08-28 20:01:19@yukichidrive @suteko15 @PSV The Korean government keeps apologizing but it is the Vietnamese government that refuses. Because the winner in the Vietnam War is Vietnam, so they think there is no reason to be apologized. But NGOs are created to exchange at the civilian society. Korea is different from Japan.

2019-08-28 22:46:26@yukichidrive @suteko15 @PSV Do not a lie please. It is Abe who refused to reimburse Koreans who were taken to the mines and worked as slaves in World War II.
2019-08-28 22:54:04@u_u_0_u_u @suteko15 @PSV The Treaty on Basic Relations between Japan and the Republic of Korea was signed on June 22, 1965.
2019-08-28 23:03:04@yukichidrive @suteko15 @PSV It's stated in US secret documents that it's not a reparation but a political back deal. Even if it's recognized as an intergovernmental treaty. Apology and responsibility for the victim remain. That's what the Japanese government of the past said and Japanese lawyers say same.
2019-08-28 23:14:25@yukichidrive No money needed. Victims do not want it too. Just as you felt compassion for the victims of the Vietnam War. There is only one thing Korea and victims want. A SINCERE APOLOGY.
2019-08-28 23:04:43@u_u_0_u_u Well, in my meeting with the congressional representatives yesterday, I explained my thoughts, and that is I do have deep-hearted sympathies that my people had to serve as comfort women, were placed in extreme hardships, and had to suffer that sacrifice;
2019-08-28 23:27:51@u_u_0_u_u and that I, as Prime Minister of Japan, expressed my apologizes, and also expressed my apologizes for the fact that they were placed in that sort of circumstance.
