In 1959, Pál joined a weekly published magazine, as an in-house employee, called the Lúdas Matyi. This publication was dedicated to using irony and satire to portray the dictatorship in Hungarian society. His contribution to this cause was with his comic, Ivan and Joe.

While Lúdas Matyi lasted from 1945 to 1992, Pusztai Pál passed away on 9/11/1970, at the age of 51. With his passing, Jucika also stopped. While Pusztai had work in several other publications, books, posters, and postcards - his most popular work is indeed Jucika. pic.twitter.com/dB4LIeh4AD
