Every chance we can on D, we want to use the O's 'bad spacing' against them. An example is when we 'choke' the PNR (force PNR to '2 side'). Choking the PNR allows us to help on ball without allowing the roller to get behind our D big + for our corner D to stay home on shooters. pic.twitter.com/pgoGNSdJPY

If you don't take the opportunity to 'choke' the PNR when it presents, you end up putting pressure on your corner defenders to help on the rollers. If they are late OR they are in a size/athleticism disadvantage = its a layup. See this clip. pic.twitter.com/ofX8wSBJzB

What the @TallBlacks did in this clip, was take the 'choke' to a new level by not just 'stunting' from the top of the '2 side' but 'Nexting' (Jump switching) onto the ball. Was this by design @RossMcMains? Again you can see corner defenders are able to stay at home. pic.twitter.com/yeNMFRYkVm

@TallBlacks @RossMcMains Here's another situation when you can use the O's 'bad spacing' against them: when the passer & cutter are in the same third of the court. You can see the passer is too close to the cutter (both in middle third), so the on ball D can stunt & buy his teammate a second to recover. pic.twitter.com/vb6ZzVeh6N

@TallBlacks @RossMcMains Here's another example: here the passer stands after the pass & allows his D to use his 'bad spacing' against the dribbler by poking the ball free. As coaches, we have to teach our off ball players the value of reacting and 're-spacing' continuously to keep 'good spacing'. pic.twitter.com/J2ux8lpslb
