過剰ですよね。ATMが、私がお金を引き出すことを私の周囲にいる人みんなにアナウンスする必要はないと思います。

@jraygator @UnseenJapanSite Yes good customer service only happens if they have what u want, if u ask for anything outside of the norm, even slightly it’s like they self destruct- in Tokyo I put it down to the fax that they had no material lack of customers so it didn’t matter.

@UnseenJapanSite General safety. Being able to walk anywhere, anytime and have no worries for my personal safety (as a tall white man). I was surprised at how much a weight off my subconscious that was. To compare, a teen was shot and killed on my street the week I moved to my new apt in LA.

一般的には安全であること。いつでもどこでも歩けるし、身の安全を心配する必要はありません（背の高い白人男性として）。それによってどれだけ気が軽くなることかと驚きました。
比較すると、私がLAの新しいアパートに引っ越した週には、10代の若者が射殺される事件がありました。

@UnseenJapanSite The concept of nomihodai was really striking to me: alcohol, in general, is so shockingly cheap in Japan, and so plentiful in a jarring way. I knew drinking culture would be different, but I ddin't expect two hour all you could drink menus!

「飲み放題」というコンセプトは私に衝撃を与えました。一般的に日本は衝撃的なほどアルコールが安く、豊富です。飲酒文化が違うであろうことは知っていましたが、メニューの全ての飲み物が2時間飲み放題だなんて予想もしてませんでした。
