@spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital SpinLaunch CEO Jonathan Yaney: “This is about building a company and a space launch system that is going to enter into the commercial markets with a very high cadence and launch at the lowest cost in the industry." cnbc.com/2021/11/09/spi… pic.twitter.com/mka3jf0pnF

@thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital Cool, you made a thing that throws things real hard and if you throw them hard enough you can get to space. You'll never be able to carry a payload though. Not much survives 42,000 Gs. Oh and sans any on board rockets, you can't achieve orbit. At best, you'll hit the launcher.
@Draco18s @thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital water or metal would. we will need plenty of raw materials up there in the future.
@asdasrev @thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital The container for the water would explode out the bottom, but that aside, *technically* yes. But you'd still need to catch it, as it wouldn't have any maneuverability of its own, and accelerating large masses in space is a problem. The rocket equation is a b!tch.
@thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital This is such cool concept and I'm really looking forward to see how it pans out! I'm a bit sceptical about it though!
@thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital Ingenuity and new ways to explore solutions should always be celebrated. This may have a small use case, but I love the idea of alternative solutions.
@thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital pretty cool. what happens when the rockets released and the little spinny thing isn't balanced anymore?
@ohitstarik @thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital You can't see it but they release a second projectile burrowing into the ground at the same time.
@Morgan628 @thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital i guess that's what this is huh pic.twitter.com/69DSRWWDsv
@ohitstarik @Morgan628 @thesheetztweetz @spinlaunch @Spaceport_NM @kleinerperkins @AirbusVentures @MckCapital Initially they were going to release a water counterweight.
