Practice of Teaching Japanese to Those Who Come from Other Cultures

When I see a foreign person studying Japanese, I can't help supporting him/her because of my personality. If I could have another chance to teach Japanese, I'd add the conversation to this list from now on.

easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf by the way, I don't think 'genki desuka?' is common in spoken Japanese. It's usually seen in a letter or a mail only.

easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf nothing. I don't think English and Japanese share every word. So, just say 'Ohayo!' 'Kon'nichiwa.' or 'Kombanwa.'

@easygoinghiroki ohhh naruhodo... i'm still a grade 1 japanese learner i think..LOL

easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf haha, so am I! I think ur way of using Japanese words is definitely correct! U'll be the highest grade learner very soon.

@easygoinghiroki Oh wow... now you know lots of languages... i think you're already fluent in English... Omedetou! ^_^

easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf thanx! I hope so.. If u often watch anime, u'll notice Japanese don't say Sayonara but use 'Matane!' or 'Shitsurei shimasu.'

2012-08-20 12:08:21
easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf 'Matane'='see ya,' 'Shitsurei shimasu'='I'm going' in business scene. I heard it's similar in English & was told not to say bye!

ZnarfLondresフランシス @znarf007

@easygoinghiroki ohhh i see.. now i just learned that from you.. coz i though shitsurei shimasu is a very polite level of saying b4 leaving

2012-08-20 12:14:41
easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf haha, actually 'Ja' and 'Sayonara' share their origin. But 'mata'(=again) implies the possibility that we can meet again.

easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf if u see a person 4 the first tym, u should b polite rather than try to be friends rushingly. Japanese are often closed-minded.

ZnarfLondresフランシス @znarf007

@easygoinghiroki that's why, i should have said... Hajimemashite.. :D

@easygoinghiroki a Japanese elementary Teacher said to me, to enhance my Japanese learning, i must use it everytime..

2012-08-20 12:42:13
easygoinghiroki @easygoinghiroki

@itsmeZnarf I agree w/ that opinion and it's likewise in learning English. That's why I've often tweeted in English since I was in Cebu.
