イギリスは昔からバイオレンス表現にうるさくて、例えば1966年製作のマカロニウエスタン「続・荒野の用心棒」の上映許可が下りたのが27年後(1993年)というから極端です。デスメタルの過激なアルバムジャケットが自粛版に差替えられるのもお約束。世界的人気を誇るCARCASSの死体ジャケット騒動は一部では有名な話。
