So apparently “Ghost of Tsushima” is being flagged as “racist” due to “Americans shouldn’t make games on ancient japan” and “the mongol invasion is being compared to illegal immigrants”. Give me a fucking break, people just can’t make games anymore.

Let’s also not forget the FACT that the mongol invasion of Japan was an actual historical event. Also, Japanese people don’t even seem fazed by this game, why should the radical westerners be offended FOR people even though those people aren’t offended in the first place.

あと、モンゴルの日本侵略は歴史上の事実だからな。そもそも日本人のほうが何も驚いても傷ついてすらもいないのに、何で極左の西洋人が変わりに傷つかねばならんのだね。

@Maririn_tsw @OliverJia1014 Japan knows how to have fun and make awesome/over the top depictions of their historical figures and folklore, as do with foreign ones. A favorite of mine being Samurai Warrior's Matsunaga Hisahide, his spider-motif being derived from his prized Hiragumo Kettle.

@OliverJia1014 from what I've heard of the game, it's basically a love letter to Akira Kurosawa, especially his more well known films like Yojimbo and 13 Assassins. hell, they added a B&W filter to the game for that same reason.

@MincingW @OliverJia1014 Damn, you're right, It's a Takashi Miike film. I'm going to have to blame Artificial Eye for that. they released a lot of Akira Kurosawa's films under their brand, so I just immediately assume when I see an Artificial Eye case around my room, It's an Akira Kurosawa film.
