And the verdict was: Wow, this is SURPRISINGLY satisfying! Piping hot, obviously, but the sauce really does thicken and become true curry. The rice obviously wasn't going to be as good as freshly-prepared rice, but it was fine considering how this all came together!

I'm pretty impressed with the fact that you can have these dried, shelf-stable treats in your pantry and within a few minutes be eating something that, while certainly not in the FORM of a plate of Japanese curry, gives you a similar feeling.
