From my Euro-election post vote poll: 53% of 2017 Conservatives who turned out on Thursday switched to the Brexit Party; 12% went to the Lib Dems. 昨日、欧州議会の開票が行われましたが、日本の人にはあまり馴染みがないので、結果の見方がよくわからないと思うのでちょっと解説。EUの国々から選ばれた議員によって構成される欧州議会は、政党が多すぎるということもあり、それぞれの所属政党を超えて政治傾向ごとに会派に分かれています。

外側の半円が、今回の結果を受けた欧州議会全体での各会派の議席数で、内側が前回のもの(現状)です。会派の名前だけを見てもわかりにくいので、単純化して解説します。左から順に行きます。 真紅は急進左派と共産主義や一部のエコロジストの会派です。各国の共産党なんかはここですね。 pic.twitter.com/qdo8PZjLg1

ピンクは社会主義および社会民主主義の会派で、例えばスペインで第一党に選ばれた社会労働党はここです。勢力の大きい「二大会派」の一つですが、欧州全体ではかなり議席を減らしました。 緑色は緑の党および地域主義政党の会派です。若い世代を中心に多くの国で指示が拡大したので今後に期待ですね。 pic.twitter.com/l7zqA1XNkN

黄色は新しい中道や自由主義の会派です。フランスのマクロン大統領の政党はここ。二大政党制にうんざりした人の支持を得て大きく拡大。 水色は定番の右派政党の会派です。ドイツのメルケル首相のキリスト教民主同盟はここですね。「二大会派」の一つとして最大勢力をキープしてますが、議席は大幅減。 pic.twitter.com/dTsRwJZH0T

紺色は保守主義の会派で、イギリスの保守党のワンマンぽいイメージがあります。水色の右派連合の会派よりも欧州統合のあり方に批判的です。 紫は国家主権主義の会派です。昔に戻して国境管理を復活させたいなど、わかりやすく反EUな感じです。英国独立党などが例ですね。今回、勢力を拡大しました。 pic.twitter.com/cwhOtACLmu

欧州議会選挙のドイツの投票率は、前回の48％から61％に増加、なんと13ポイントの伸びだ。その理由は、右翼政党の躍進と地球温暖化に危機感を抱いた若者たちが、投票所に足を運んだため。この結果、緑の党の得票率がほぼ2倍に増え、初めて第2党になった。これは画期的な出来事である。 pic.twitter.com/KncFLAoJT6
