I'm told both have been released from RCMP custody in New Hazelton. Not sure yet about injuries. One witness who watched from above said an officer was twisting Denzel's jacket collar from behind, before he said "I can't breathe".

Sorry for the lack of content warning. This is real life on the colonial frontier. As Denzel shouts with four police on top of him, "this is our land". The Gitxsan and Wet'suwet'en clans have never sold, ceded or surrendered their territory, despite 150+ years of this.

I'm not there and didn't shoot the video. Waiting to get more info. For context, Gitxsan members blocked CN tracks after RCMP raid on Wet'suwet'en territory began this week. Police dismantled the blockade Friday. Denzel is a spokesperson for the Git'luuhl'um'hetxwit wilp.
