この盤はキングズ・カレッジの「戴冠式アンセム」が聴きたくて（クレオベリーによる新録音が出る前）先年亡くなったデイヴィッド・ウィルコックス卿指揮による旧録音にいろいろな聖歌隊によるヘンデルの英語の宗教音楽がカップリングされた廉価盤。 #古楽の楽しみ dumtransisset

ヘンデルの「ユトレヒト・テ・デウム」を後でフェルトホーヴェンの演奏でスコアを見ながら聴き直して、クライストチャーチの録音を聴いて思ったのは、ヘンデルの有名な作品の聴いたことある素材が散りばめてあるように聴こえるということだったけど、→ #古楽の楽しみ

→その逆に、若き日のヘンデルが挑戦した大作で用いた印象的な音楽素材・モチーフを（おそらくオペラではないジャンルの音楽で）彼はのちのちまでバッハのように（まったく同じやり方ではないだろうけど）用いたのではなかったか。ということ。 #古楽の楽しみ @dumtransisset
