◆概要
1938～39年にかけて就役したイタリア海軍潜水艦．
Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico di MonfalconeとOTO della Spezia造船所にて建造され，グラウコ級から発達した単殻，サドル・タンク付き艦体を持つ．
比較的高速で安全性が高く，操縦性も良好だったといい，イタリア海軍の航洋潜水艦の中では最良の部類と評価される．

このうちバルバリーゴは，改マルチェロ級のコマンダンテ・カッペリーニと共に輸送潜水艦に改装されている．
第二次大戦中，ダンドーロを除く8隻が戦没．
ダンドーロは1947年に除籍された．

[2/2] The Mocenigo was deployed in the Regia Marina Atlantic base of Betasom and participated to the battle of the Atlantic, operating mainly in the central and southern area of the Ocean. Transferred back in the Mediterranean, it was sunk in La Maddalena in April 1943
