WikiLeaksは前回の米軍ヘリによる市民虐殺ビデオ公開以来、WikiLeaksの手法を批判する世界のマスコミ報道を批判しつづけてきたが、マスコミと敵対するのではなくうまくつきあう方法を新たに獲得したということか。間違いなくジャーナリズム史上に残る大事件だ。

WikiLeaksの暴露したアフガン駐留米軍極秘ファイル群には恐るべき情報ばかり。例えば、タリバンが地対空ミサイルなど最新鋭兵器を使い始めている事実、米無人攻撃機の活動記録。さらに、NATO軍によるアフガン市民殺害記録、爆撃による巻き添え死の件数、犠牲者数、犠牲者写真など。

WikiLeaksの暴露した情報から伺えるのは、オバマの「アフガン増派」が大失敗を招いた事実。タリバンがパキスタン、イランの軍事支援を得て、アフガンを席巻しつつあるという事実。そして、英米を中心としたNATO軍が検問や爆撃でアフガン市民を大量に殺害し、それを隠している事実。
