WikiLeaksの暴露活動のスゴイところは、単に暴露するだけでなく、機密情報の背景、信憑性、周辺情報など、ちゃんと裏取り調査をしているらしいところ。逮捕されたブラドレー・マニング米陸軍情報兵以外にも大勢の内部告発者（政府に近いマスコミ含む）が協力しているのだろう。

2007年6月17日、第373特殊部隊はアフガンの或る地域でイスラム学校にアルカイダ幹部が潜伏する情報を掴み、こともあろうに高機動ロケット砲システムHIMARS（ハイマース）で学校を攻撃。瓦礫の下から子ども6人の遺体を発見、1人が重体だったが（放置され？）死亡したとレポート。
