Alex Kammer氏によるTSR D&D photo tour
I am thinking about giving a photo tour of every major D&D collectible here on Twitter. Is that something that people want to see? #dnd
2017-09-04 23:25:28D&D was rooted in wargaming. That is a big part of the reason why the early published adventures were light in narrative.
2017-09-06 05:33:03So, we could start with an image of a chess board, but to move things forward, a picture of the 1st printing of Chainmail released in 1971. pic.twitter.com/hjGT3Sda3C
2017-09-06 05:35:58Chainmail, while not an original rule set, is the best known transition product from war gaming to RPG's. 3rd edition copy - July of 1975. pic.twitter.com/Zbu8x8dGPZ
2017-09-07 00:17:49Onto the beginnings of D&D. This is a first printing of the original brown box D&D rules set. Contains three rule books. Published in 1974. pic.twitter.com/8u2wQ5pWRa
2017-09-08 00:06:22Yesterday I showed you guys a 1st print woodie. This is a lovely second printing released in 1975. Fun references to Hobbits and Ents! pic.twitter.com/mOn7ELad5w
2017-09-08 23:54:37Today's offering is a third print D&D woodie from April of 1975. It is especially rare as it was shipped without the cover art sticker. pic.twitter.com/RTTdPIo9OE
2017-09-09 23:16:38What can brown do for you? OD&D Brown Box printings: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and an usual 3rd that came w/o a box front sticker. #DnD pic.twitter.com/mc2mQUAZvq
2017-11-07 08:13:48We will go back to OD&D, but today's offering is the Holmes Basic Set from 1978. As we go forward, we will see the 3 versions of this set. pic.twitter.com/FmzEhm4m7e
2017-09-10 22:02:04I was entering some new things into the collection today and as I was going through the new entries, I realized that some of you may have never seen a set of the original dice that came with the first print set in their original package. So, here you go! pic.twitter.com/jRYgRHv8Qm
2017-12-27 04:49:18Staying with rule sets, today's post is the revised basic set by Tom Moldvay released in 1981. This was my first D&D product. #DnD pic.twitter.com/tYagiVzXrR
2017-09-12 00:31:07Before we pop back to OD&D and to follow on yesterday's post, here is the first Expert box set. This gem was released in 1981. #DnD pic.twitter.com/dOcuaBOh0t
2017-09-13 01:15:32After the brief detour into basic D&D, let's now get back to OD&D. After 3 printings, TSR went away from the wood grain and to the white box
2017-09-14 00:11:02Counting the 3 woodies, there were 7 total OD&D set printings. This one is a 5th printing and was released in 1975. pic.twitter.com/WiCUjuRH1q
2017-09-14 00:11:34One more white box - because of original shrink, there is no way to tell if it is a 6th or 7th printing. This was released in 1977 or 78. pic.twitter.com/dcpcXygNXi
2017-09-14 23:07:24This is a very nice copy of The Character Archaic, 1st printing - the first set of D&D character sheets published in 1975. #DnD pic.twitter.com/0hRMsRzxYX
2017-09-16 01:37:15Have you guys ever seen one of these? It is a Character Archaic produced by Wee Warriors in 1975-1976. These were the first ever commercially produced character sheets. pic.twitter.com/dbuixqhpd4
2018-11-15 07:04:53Before we leave OD&D, one of the last supplements to the original box set, a first print Swords & Spells, released in 1976. pic.twitter.com/U3mzus0f8Q
2017-09-17 06:36:21Onto my favorite subject, modules! This is a first print of the first ever module for D&D - Palace of the Vampire Queen. Wee Warriors 1976. pic.twitter.com/2WTZjtQqon
2017-09-17 23:44:31I am sorry to interrupt your normal programming, but I thought I would share this. These are TSR's original maps of the Forgotten Realms hand drawn by @TheEdVerse and sent to TSR (55 pages worth). TSR then used these maps to create all the FR goodness that we all love so much. pic.twitter.com/pW33FDwNQW
2018-01-04 07:26:24Dropped off the original Forgotten Realms with an archavist today. These are the original maps from @TheEdVerse to TSR that launched the setting from Ed’s home campaign to all of us! pic.twitter.com/clNzy9Bayo
2018-09-08 01:16:32I am SO happy they are in good hands!!! twitter.com/GHC_and_Tacos/…
2018-09-08 12:37:55Fooling around with my fish eye. :) pic.twitter.com/axy5VYOe6Y
2018-01-22 04:06:22That is enough for today. I am going to head to The Gamehole! pic.twitter.com/BQQww3zG7N
2018-07-06 05:48:58In 1987 TSR released the Gazetteers describing "the D&D Game World." They and the later following Mystara setting were based on L Schick's and T Moldvay's "Known World" that they created in college. Here is their original map from college now proudly hanging in The Gamehole. pic.twitter.com/u9zOGlerE4
