@Jaaavis The Board of Supervisors just gave the food bank $500,000 in CARES Act money. It was supposed to buy 6 months worth of food. At this rate I’m thinking no chance it lasts that long. So much need in the county these days. 😳

@reneeyrobinson @Jaaavis It’s because food pantry locations and pick up times are extremely limited and we have a HUGE volume of people who need help due to Covid job losses and increased costs of living during Covid. They also try on donations, pantries are strained all the time.

@reneeyrobinson @Jaaavis People who live near a food bank, and not a community pantry often prefer that location because you get lucky and are able to get produce and milk. Community pantries, like the ones you find at churches, rarely have much more than limited shelf stable items.
