Every fraction of a degree of global heating makes it worse, but I've started thinking of the climate emergency in phases: 1 predicted (1890s to 1970s) 2 emerging (1980s to 1990s) 3 it's definitely here (2000s to 2010s) 4 deep 5 catastrophic We are currently in deep.
