One of the most interesting facts about Troy Hurtubise’s metal suit of armour is that it was inspired by a near-fatal encounter with a grizzly bear when he was 18 years old. Hurtubise was hunting in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia when he came face to face with a 750-pound bear. He managed to escape with only minor injuries, but the experience left a lasting impression on him. He became obsessed with studying grizzly bears and finding a way to get close to them without harming them or himself. Hurtubise spent seven years and $150,000 of his own money to design and build the suit, which he called the Ursus Mark VI. The suit weighed 147 pounds and was made of titanium, rubber, chain mail, and duct tape. It had various features such as airbags, cooling fans, cameras, pepper spray, and a voice recorder. Hurtubise tested the suit himself by subjecting it to various forms of abuse, such as being hit by a truck, thrown off a cliff, and shot at with a shotgun. He claimed that the suit could withstand any attack from a grizzly bear. Hurtubise’s invention attracted media attention and scientific curiosity. He was featured in a documentary film called Project Grizzly, which followed his attempts to find and confront a grizzly bear in the wild while wearing the suit. He also won the Ig Nobel Prize for Safety Engineering in 1998, an award that honors achievements that make people laugh and then think. However, he never achieved his dream of facing a grizzly bear in his suit, as he was unable to find one during his expeditions. He later sold the suit on eBay for $24,000.

Photo of John in the final edition of his suit. On June 17, 2018, Hurtubise was involved in a collision. His car collided with a gasoline-carrying transport truck, resulting in a!n explosion. While the truck driver sustained minor injuries, Hurtubise's charred remains were found in the vehicle.

The suit was made of a combination of lightweight metals, including aluminum and titanium, and was designed to withstand the claws, teeth, and bite force of a grizzly bear. @Morbidful With the amount of hits he received, you can clearly imagine the strength of grizzly Bear. But with the weight of the armour he can survive but not fight a bear. Bears are the Samson of Ferocious Wild animals.
