ボルトンのファブリス・ムアンバが現役引退を発表した。3月17日のFA杯トッテナム戦で心停止で倒れたムアンバは先週ベルギーに渡って心臓の小さな手術を受けた。手術自体は現役復帰の可否に無関係だったが、滞在中の診察で引退を決断せざるを得ないアドバイスを受けたという（BBC）

退院後もいつの日かまたボルトンでプレーできるとポジティブに信じていたけど、助言は明らかに僕の望みには反してもうプロとしてやれないことを意味していた。子供の頃からフットボールは人生そのもの、多くの機会を与えてくれた。残念だけど、感謝しないとね（ファブリス・ムアンバ／ボルトン公式）
