どちらかというと、日本の家は断熱性能が非常に低い（北海道等除く）ことの方が影響が大きいかもしれない。アメリカの家はそこがしっかりしているので、少なくとも屋内に入ると温かい。日本の家は、屋内でも白い息が出たりするし。 twitter.com/moose_fukui/st…

東京の冬が寒すぎて子供が泣いている。比喩じゃなく落涙してた。 アメリカ時代の方が外気温は10-20℃低かったけどセントラルヒーティングのおかげで家中ポカポカなので、子供達にとっては日本が未知の寒さ。 帰国前に妻が仕入れたつなぎ型のパジャマが大活躍。お腹出ないし足もあったかい。 pic.twitter.com/UcFkXk29PJ

日本の今の家だと、どれだけ暖かくしたところで、窓、サッシ、壁からどんどん熱が逃げていく。ただし、国交省は住宅の断熱性能の義務化を今回も見送る模様。一方、さほど気候的に寒くない今のカリフォルニアの家でさえ、二重窓、樹脂サッシ等、断熱がしっかりしている。 tech.nikkeibp.co.jp/atcl/nxt/colum…

アメリカで日本や欧州、中国のように、電車が張り巡らされることは今後ありえない。だからこそ、交通分野でのCO2削減のためには電化しかない（電気は将来的には再エネで作る）。乗用車だけでなく、バスやトラックでも。
