Steve Kirsch gave a presentation at MIT claiming that 1/1000 of those vaccinated with covid vaccines are killed by the vaccines using New Zealand data he obtained (which would imply >12,000 killed by vaccine among the >12m doses given in New Zealand to date, in a country that typically has ~38,000 deaths of all causes per year) Let's run this through a basic plausibility filter here. Here is plot of excess deaths in New Zealand with vaccine doses (blue) and documented covid deaths (red) overlaid from plots generated by @hmatejx Note the huge negative excess in 2020 when New Zealand successfully kept the virus out and the clear negative excess in 2021 when the vaccines were rolled out (vaccinations in blue -- how can that be if vaccines are killing people at the rate Steve says?) Also note that the only excess deaths are during the first 2/3 of 2022 corresponding to the two covid waves (covid deaths are in red). After 2 years of claiming vaccines killed using data from VAERs with all deaths in the first few weeks after vaccine rollouts (and making the same argument from Nursing home data yesterday), now he claims that no, the vaccines don't kill immediately (which is 100% clear in the New Zealand data he presented), they kill 6 or more months later. Which happens to be the time period from when the major vaccine rollouts occurrded (August 2021) to when the first COVID wave hit New Zealand (February to March 2022). The only way people can try to argue excess deaths are driven by vaccinations is when they take the times in which major waves of covid deaths occurred, and try to spin an argument it relates to earlier vaccines and not the actual documented major wave of covid infections and deaths that coincide with it. Because we see from data all over the world the excess deaths are most concentrated in spikes corresponding to the respective major covid waves in the local areas. Anti covid vaccine arguments require complete denial of danger of covid infection, and often use this tactic of finding a way to take the covid deaths during the documented infection waves and trying to link them to the vaccines. I have other more specific critiques of his presentation and the "methodology" he uses that I may post later, but needless to say his argument does not hold water and his analysis of these data do not demonstrate the vaccine deaths he says it does.
