Incidentally, Hopeless Masquerade has THE MOST INSANE Xbox 360 pad mappings. It treats the D-Pad as buttons. Up confirms, Down cancels.

@botoggle Yeah... I actually think it's 100% the right game for the modern touhou fanbase though, which is mostly not gamers. Not me.

@mauvecow In ASS, the mash-A autocombo was a guaranteed guard break. The idea was it kept you moving and dodging. Not in TSS.

@mauvecow Instead it takes a small -- very small -- chunk off the spirit gauge. So you won't be guard-breaking like, ever.

@mauvecow It looks like they realized there needs to be a reason to jump/dive, so now jumpstart frames graze. Apparently not dashes.

@mauvecow There doesn't seem to EVER be a reason not to upback pressure, actually. If you time it right, you graze, wrong, you block.

@mauvecow Oh wait my bad, that's what the Star Rating's for. Defending makes it lower a lot. So timeover is the key.

@Ionustron fanbase is mostly non-gamers now. doujin music, art, comics, etc. character and setting love. and you have to admit, it's flashy.
