ちょっと違うaloneの使い方です☆すぐ使えるようにならなくてもOKなので、一人だけと言う意味以外にもこのようなニュアンスで使われるケースもあることをインプットしておいてください♡

他の良い方だと、It’s amazing enough that she’s in the Olympics and she places fourth? She’s incredible! オリンピックに出場しただけで充分凄いのに、、、的な。

placesのニュアンスが分からない方が多いみたいです。placesは、○○位になると言う動詞として使っています☆ she got 4th placeだと placeは、名詞になります。

@_Milky_Peco place an orderと同じく動詞扱いですが、place an orderの場合は、注文を「置く」（注文をする）と言う意味です☆

@ekane0124tue keep awake ではなく、stay awakeだと思います☆ stay awake と stay upは、同じです。stay up の方が少しカジュアルです☆
