幼稚園では1日に少なくとも1着の着替えが必要でした。通常の学校では、運動着、給食着、さらにクラブ/スポーツ用ウェアがあります。

@UnseenJapanSite the parasols to keep from tanning/burning???? they were everywhere when I was in kyoto. I also find it weird that there's no distinction between tanning and burning in japanese, they're both 日焼け lol

@beepzeep @UnseenJapanSite To be fair, that's true in other languages, as well. In Danish, "solbrændt" (lit. sun-burned) can mean both tanned/sunburned. "Solskoldet" (lit. sun-scalded) is specifically sunburned, and "solbrunet" (lit. sun-browned) is specifically tanned.

@UnseenJapanSite How helpful random strangers were to me without me having to ask for help... Also the sleeping everywhere was much more prominent than I imagined, especially just seeing men in suits passed out in the street in the middle of the day 😭😭

自販機がどこにでもある！10億以上の自販機が日本にはあります。
小さな田舎の道にも自販機はあります。
そして夜になると、あちこちにある自動販売機の光を除いて、田舎道は真っ暗です！驚き！

@UnseenJapanSite Benri, Sakai, or any other moving company. They really helped me moving out of international dorm to apaato. They covered up the walls, elevator, stairs all the way to my new room (using soft surface so the moving process won't scratch anything). Efficient, quite costly, though.

@UnseenJapanSite I was surprised at how many Japanese people think it’s okay to touch foreigners hair 🙂 Can’t count the number of times I’ve had my hair touched.... Other than that when I 1st came to Japan I was surprised at how tall and huge their malls are! And there’s so many! 😆
