母国語ツイですら「称賛なのか罵倒なのか分からない」が頻繁に起こるので、外国語では猶のこと分からない。文脈依存が高い上に言外の意味を匂わせるとか、どっちにもとれる隠語を使うとかされればどうにもならん。そういうことがあまりに多い。（とはいえ冗談を言いたいときは自分もやってしまう）

@Jagdhaco @Temp002a @Nrg8000 Going off meaning depends in the context it's been used. Going off at someone is being angry at them. In this case it's a celebration of their work hence why he called them kings. Not sure if it's an Aussie thing but I know we're highly confusing in our slang.

英語母語話者、たまに「簡単な単語の組み合わせで語った方がノンネイティブにも分かりやすい」と思い込んでて親切心で意図的に群動詞 (phrasal verbs) とかスラングとか使ったりするからな……

"shout out to"は、"Send shout out-to"でヒップホップの尊敬の意を示すときの定型句になるらしい。この辺、ネイティブでないとその解釈でいいのかようわからんな。

@hms_compassrose @hsjoihs 勝手に割り込んですみません。「DELETE THIS」はあえて本音の逆を言って、暗黙に「これを嫌う理由がない」がある訳で冗談としてとらえる、ちょっとツンデレめいた表現です。 一方「Shout out」は素直に「感謝の気持ちを叫びたい」と言う意味を持っています。

@avgtom あー、shout outのやつか。コメ欄にあるように、shout out はatじゃなくてtoなので、単なるgreetingのようにも見えますね。皮肉にも見えるが、、、 まじ最後のgo offが分からん💦
