@bendermegenders @silentmoviegifs @ascottmess Silent films were filmed and projected at lower frame rates, and both camera and projector were cranked by hand so the speed varied. Then when sound appeared, they made a 24 frames/second standard. And when they showed older movies on newer projectors it created the sped up look.

その後、音が出るようになると、24フレーム/秒という規格が作られました。
古い映画を新しいプロジェクターで映すと、スピードアップしたように見えるのです。
