しばらくすると、反対車線に消防車、救急車、パトカーが来た。スピーカーで「今そちらに回ります」と言ってくれた。あー、なんでもありがたい。

楽器車は中古車であり、以前はアパレル関係の会社が使っていたものだ。そのために後部の荷物室の天井にはハンガーをかける太いパイプが渡してある。このおかげで車体は潰れず、楽器もそれほど壊れなかった。

クレーン車が来た。クレーンで横転車を持ち上げる。右側の塗装はすっかり落ち、道路でピッカピカに研磨された金属の肌が見えていた。エンジンは動かない。
