@_risefalcon I don't think that makes it better. It's soft-pedaling a dangerous situation for young women and selling it to men as a Savior Fantasy. In real life, there are organizations like Colabo who provide real assistance, no strings attached.

@UnseenJapanSite @kabothomas look better and stereotyping an image that is told all throughout anime of guys being the soft, the kind, the ones that always save the day and I can understand if that is where backlash is coming from, though I'm open to discussion and not trying to just defend this.
2020-01-09 07:37:03自分が男であるから自分の視点はすでに歪んでいると思うが、それでも、彼が性的関係を要求していないことから、この漫画/ライトノベルが「not all men」のコンセプトを見せているのはわかる。また、「白騎士」、「救世主ファンタジー」を拡散しているのはわかる。分かって入るけども、その他にも何か語られるものがある。ある種の共生関係、ある種の理想形。男を救世主だと考えさせるのではなく、何というか・・・助けてあげる、高校生はより沢山の良い時間を持つべきだからだし、逃げたくなる理由があるのもわかる。でも同時になにかに利益を出せるものみたいに押し倒したり、投げ捨てたりすべきでもない。とは言え、このストーリーが違うキャスティングで描けたかもしれないと思うし、男を引き立てようとするという悪手をやってるし、アニメを通じて優しくて何時も救いを与える男のイメージのステレオタイプをやろうとしているのもわかる。そしてこの作品に対する反動の根源がコレだともわかる。とは言え、話し合う気があるし、この作品を弁護するつもりはない。
無茶苦茶すぎてちゃんと翻訳できた気がしない。
