Bridget is A fictional character. She does not exist. Her journey is fabricated by writers. But that doesn't mean that it doesnt speak to people. My best friend in the whole world feels a very personal connection to Bridget because of her own journey of her own gender identity.

Ultimately, its ok if the way Bridget was handled isnt for you. I have no problem with fellow trans people who dont like it on the basis of how messy it is. But because it doesn't work for you doesnt mean that it doesnt work for everyone, or that it *cant* work or make sense.
